The following is a list of rules both the Gym leader and the challenger must follow:
General Rules:
• Always follow /gymrules
• The gym leader and Challengers Pokemon MUST be set to level 100.
• If the challenger or Gym leader suddenly disconnects from a battle, wait a maximum of 5minutes and DO NOT alter or heal your pokemon. if they re-join resume the battle. However, if the Challenger or Gym Leader fails to return, the opposing player gains the win.
• No Dynamaxing/Gigantamaxing in battles.
• Full Heal must not be turned on.
• You may not overuse healing/defensive moves with the intention of stalling the opponent out of PP (PP-stall clause)
• Fusion Pokemon are banned.
• Origins will be using the National Dex Format for it's gym system. you may not use abilities, items and pokemon listed in the National Dex ban list. [For more information click here]
• You're allowed to use a maximum of 2 healing status moves and 2 healing held items on a team. (HP draining moves do not count)
• The combination of Prankster, Lagging Tail, and Copycat is not allowed on a singular Pokemon.
• You're allowed to use a maximum of 2 legends/mythicals on a team.
• You may only have a maximum of 2 choice items on a team.
• You must follow the following clauses in all battles: Bag, Evasion, OHKO, Sleep, Species [For more info Click Here].
• You are not allowed to use Z-status moves.
• You're allowed to use one Regenerator Ability Pokemon per team.
Challenger-only rules:
• You must always throw out your Pokémon before the leader and start with the same Pokémon.
• Challengers must not rename pokemon.
• You may not borrow/lend Pokémon from other players in order to challenge gyms, they must be your own Pokémon, that you have trained with your ideas. If you’ve purchased a Pokémon in a trade you may still challenge a gym as long as it follows the previous rules. Gym Leaders may still disqualify you if they feel you’re using a Pokémon/team that’s not yours. For example if you’re using the same team & strategy that a Gym Leader lost to the previous day, they may see fit to disqualify you. You will be punished accordingly.
• You may not disclose any Gym Leader teams or counters/strategies in order to beat specific Gym Leaders/Gyms (Jail).
Gym Leader Only Rules:
• Gym leaders may use a pokemon that has a mega form that isn't aligned to their typing (aka Lopunny in Fighting Gym) only if the gym leader mega evolves it the first turn in battle. (you may also switch out as well)
• Dual Gym leaders must have a minimum of 2 of each typing.
• Gym leaders that aren't using a temp team can have a maximum of 2 substitute Pokémon.
The following items, moves and abilities are banned in Gym Battles:
• Items: King's Rock, Razor Fang, Bright Powder,
• Abilities: Libero, Protean, Supreme Overlord, Shadow Tag, Arena Trap, Sand Veil, Snow Cloak, Moody
• Moves: Double iron bash, Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, Sheer Cold, Dragon Rage, Sonic Boom, Destiny Bond, Assist, or Baton Pass, Last Respect, Shed Tail, Minimize, Double Team, Revival Blessing.
The following are banned due to bugs in Gym Battles:
• Items: Red Card
• Abilities: Emergency Exit
Gym Leader Commands:
• /leader accept - accepts the most recent battle request
• /leader deny - denies the most recent battle request
• /leader give - gives your most recent opponent their badge
• /leader won - marks the most recent battle as a win (to track your win/loss stats)
• /leader stats - view your win/loss ratio for each gym you're a leader of
