Aurora Gym Rules​

Gym Format will be 6v6 National Dex OU and rules will follow the format
Rules will apply to both Gym Leaders and Challengers
Updated rules as of June 14th, 2026​

Battle Clauses: ​

• - Bag Clause (Items that are used through the bag feature such as potions, revives and other items will not be allowed)​
  • - Baton Pass Clause (A team cannot have a Pokemon with the move Baton Pass)
  • - Endless Battle Clause (Players cannot intentionally prevent an opponent from being able to end the game without forfeiting)
• - Evasion Clause (Any moves or abilities that raise the evasion of a pokemon will be banned)
  • - Moody Clause (A team cannot have a Pokemon with the ability Moody)
• - OHKO Clause (aka One Hit Knockout moves are not allowed to be used)
  - Sleep Clause (Only one pokemon can be inflicted with the sleep status at a time)
• - Species Clause (Can only have one pokemon of a Species per team)​

Battle Rules:​

- Battle Rules should always be used to raise the level of Challengers Pokemon to Level 100
- Battles may not be over 100 turns long. If a battle reaches turn 101 the Gym leader will be the winner
- Dynamaxing is banned from gyms
- Each Dual type gym will include half the pokemon from each typing, E.g. 3 Fairy and 3 FIre for the Fairy/Fire gym
- No Renamed Pokemon ( Aside from texture Pokemon)
- Textured Pokemon are required to be renamed to the Pokemon’s Original name to allow for a fair battle
- No Fusions allowed
- Mega Pokemon are not required to be mega evolved on the first turn (Unless it is a gym leader that has to match typing)
- Gyms will follow Smogons, National Dex OU format [Ignoring the unbans listed below]. You may not use any of the Pokemon listed in the ban list - https://www.smogon.com/dex/sv/formats/national-dex/
- 2D pokemon will be banned as they are not fully implemented into the game
- You may not use an attacking switch move on the first turn of a mega evolution due to a bug that will crash the battle
- Special banned moves: Dragon Tail, Circle Throw, Roar, Whirlwind, Rising Voltage, Springtide Storm​

Challenger Exclusive Rules:​

• - Challengers must throw pokemon out first (Not at the Gym Leader)​
• - Challengers cannot switch your starting Pokemon in the selection menu​
• - You are allowed a 5 minute grace period after challenging a gym leader if you forget moves, abilities, etc.​
• - You may not disclose any Gym Leader teams or counters/strategies in order to beat specific Gym Leaders/Gyms, this will result in punishments​

Leader Exclusive Rules:​

• - You may only use Pokemon that align with your gym types​
• - Your Pokemon should be the exact level of the gym cap
  - You may have three substitute Pokemon for your self-supplied teams
  - You may have a 30 second or longer move time limit​

• Pokémon Unbans:​

- Leaders can only bring the unbans that correspond with their types, but only a max of 1 per team
- Challengers may bring any of the unbans to gym battles, but only a max of 1 per team​

- Fire Gym: N/A
- Dragon Gym: Baxcalibur, Dracovish, Dragapult, and Roaring Moon
- Bug Gym: Genesect
- Grass Gym: Shaymin Sky
- Steel Gym: Genesect
- Ghost Gym: Annihilape, Dragapult, and Flutter Mane
- Electric Gym: N/A
- Flying Gym: Shaymin Sky
- Ice Gym: Baxcalibur and Iron Bundle

Dual-Types
- Fairy Fire Gym: AZ Floette and Flutter Mane
- Water Dragon Gym: Baxcalibur, Dracovish, Dragapult, Iron Bundle, and Roaring Moon
- Poison Bug Gym: Genesect and Sneasler
- Rock Grass Gym: Shaymin Sky
- Psychic Steel Gym: Genesect and Mega Alakazam
- Normal Ghost Gym: Annihilape, Dragapult, and Flutter Mane
- Fighting Electric Gym: Annihilape and Sneasler
- Ground Flying Gym: Shaymin Sky
- Dark Ice Gym: Baxcalibur, Darkrai, Iron Bundle, and Roaring Moon​
